Last Saturday(020307), I went to the National Zoo with my family. The weather was sunny but a little bit freeze. This was my first time to visit the National Zoo and I was very excited. We visited the giant pandas, small mammals, of course, great apes and other primates. ( I studied the lecture about nonhuman primates last week) In the past, I only can get some information about primates in internet or animal planet. I would like to see them in person and observe their behavior.

Also, your pictures of the animals in the National Zoo reminded me of the memory of my visit to there in 2005. I was also excited being there because it brought me back to the time I spent in the zoo of my hometown.
Hi Jennifer! I love your zoo slideshow, especially the pandas--you were lucky to get such a good view of them! I like visiting the zoo in the winter because it is much less crowded, and on nice days the animals spend a lot of time in the sun, so they are easy to see. How did David like going to the zoo?

It was also nice that you were able to go to the zoo and see primates instead of just reading about them!
I've been in Taiwan, but only in Taipei and not recently (I think it was 1995). However, I found the people very friendly and helpful, and I liked the food very much. I also spent some time viewing some of the spectacular treasures at the National Palace Museum.
I'm glad you're studying with Mrs. Liakos. She's a wondereful person and a talented teacher. (I've never met her face to face, but I feel as if I know her well because we've both been participating in some intensive online workshops.)

I'm honored to receive your kind words about my idioms page at "Dave's ESL Cafe." That page is kind of old (it was put online in the mid-1990s, if I remember correctly), so it's very gratifying to me to know that it is still useful. It needs a "new look" and also needs to be expanded, but I don't know when I'll find the time to do that!
